XHTML - The bridge from HTML to XML. XHTML works toward webdesign of the future while maintaining
compatibility with current HTML 4 browsers. XHTML 1.0 was released in January of 2000 as a recommendation by W3C. It is a step toward a modular and extensible web based on XML.
SSI - Server Side Incudes can make your server act much like a copy/paste editor. They can make maintaining a site easier and create
more responsive pages. They can execute CGI programs, insert files, insert a date, time stamp, etc. SSI pages use the .shtml extension.
