the first adjusted image is per the tutorial instructions, plus it was softened then sharpened. the second experimental effect was achieved by layering the image on itself twice. blend modes were applied to the two new layers. one using exclusion blend at 30% opacity and the other using dodge blend at 52% opacity. |
