[The Dangerous Assignment]
one thorny assignment

"This week we would like for you to design a logo draft, or 2, for Perfect Petals while concentrating on type and the initial technical elements we discussed this week. Please, follow the sketching and researching steps that we discussed in previous weeks while creating your drafts.

Let us know if you choose to design your logo as a vector or raster image and why. If you do choose to design a logo as a raster image at 300ppi, please reduce the resolution to 72ppi before posting it to your assignment page."

Now why do I have the gut feeling after reading this information that this it going to be one tough lady to please? [wink]

Where to begin? Snotty/elegant is not my style, but it appears to be hers, so let's see if we can help her put on a few airs.

In my travels around looking at different florist and wedding sites I ran across an odd one. It doesn't really fit this week's assignment, but in a way it does. I can see this fellow becoming the florist du'jour and in high demand with events planners. Sort of campy and different. His logo seems to really fit his style and the site is quite a hoot. Just for fun, you might want to peek at:

Don't say I didn't warn you that this site was a bit off topic and off the wall. I just thought it was too much fun not to share with the class.

So have fun and don't forget to make a floral arrangement for a friend's auto cupholder...lol

My lack of inspiration is almost at legendary proportions this week. I just couldn't wrap my head around the misspelled version of Purrrrfect Petals, and the cat is still fussing cause I even tried to do it at all. lol

All images were created in vector format in PSP7. Unfortunately, that program is not capable of saving in true vector format. So if I were doing this logo for real, I might be in trouble. I just really enjoy fiddling there and am hoping future versions will include actual vector capabilities, not just token tools. I do love PSP! *sigh*
