When we last left our friends in the village, they were frantically planning the wedding/weeding of our Pseudo-Princess to the unknown stranger and the kindly village ladies, Helpful Butzi and Brat-Lady were plotting to grab the secrets of the Cave of Codes and the magic Flash with the help of a report from Bubba daRat and PI Pamelia.

What Happened Next

While the friendly village ladies were buzzing around town on wings that would barely carry their weight, they had to stop to rest quite often. It just happened that one of the restful landings was right next door to the seedy tavern on the road between the village and the castle tower.  And who should they see inside, but the mysterious groom and the bat known only as *K*.  *K* appeared to be getting quite drunk as the mysterious groom was filling her with cheap, sweet wine. The ladies edged closer to hear their conversation.

It seemed the bat known only as *K* was paying little attention to what the mysterious groom was saying, preferring to lap up the wine quickly before he decided he wanted a sip.  But our dear ladies were appalled to hear what he was planning.

According to the groom he had come only to steal poor Pseudo's secrets of the magic Flash and his dastardly plan was to marry her, grab them then pester her to such distraction that she would take her own life by jumping from the top of the castle tower.  the good ladies were shocked and horrified.  They wanted poor Pseudo's secrets, but were planning only to make copies and had purchased mountains of paper for just that purpose.  They would leave her with her originals and never wanted to hurt her at all.  Something had to be done about this horrid little man! They must alert the village and have them protect the poor, crazy Pseudo-Princess.

While the ladies were wondering where to start with the sounding of the alarm, they heard the evil groom whisper to the bat known only as *K* that he also planned to grab the secrets from the Cave of the Codes and take them with him as well when he headed out of town.

The bat known only as *K* suddenly stopped lapping up the sweet, cheap wine and eyed him suspiciously.  She seemed to be gathering her wits about her.  She lived with the Wizardess in the Cave of the Codes and had no intention of letting this small minded creature have those secrets she wanted so badly for herself.  She also realized that the wine had made her a bit queezy and hungry.  And we all know what bats like to eat!  She swallowed the buggy little character in one gulp!!

The good ladies cheered and ran off to tell the village people and the Pseudo-Princess of what had transpired and of the fate of the wicked groom.  The bat known only as *K* just sipped the rest of the wine to wash away the rather unpleasant taste in her mouth and grinned.

As it turned out, old Pseudo had gotten rather tired of the groom.  She had decided that he was much too short to look appropriate next to her in her new high heels that she planned to wear to the wedding/weeding.  And when the good ladies told her what he planned to do to her to steal the magic of the flash, she rewarded them with their very own copies of the secrets.  [She did refuse to supply the paper to print them on though as that expense was quite hefty and she had rather drained her resources.]

The bat known only as *K* flew in rather drunken circles back to the Cave of the Codes and reported to the Wizardess the events of the afternoon.  The Wizardess was so pleased with *K*'s accomplishment and bravery at swallowing the nasty bug-like creature that she showed her all the secrets of the cave.  There were a couple of special ones there. 

They were the codes to break the spell that had been cast over the Wizardess and the bat known only as *K* many moons ago by a Wizard from another land.  It seems when she would not share every detail of her secrets with him he had turned her into an old hag and *K* into a bat so she could not tell what he had done.  The only way she could break the spell was to give those secrets away freely.  And she had given them to the bat that day.

The Pseudo-Princess threw a real Weeding Party for the whole town as they had managed to weed out all the evil elements.  The towns folk were all seen rushing to the village Walmart to exchange wedding gifts for weeding gifts [see link to pictures of the gifts above] and fun was had by all.  Even the wannabees were invited this time and no one cared if they worked at all and just smiled when they ate all the sweetest snacks.

Old Pseudo had been so sweetly transformed from her usual grumpy self, and looked so pretty without her warts, that Princess Molly decided it was high time that she was officially adopted into the royal family and made a real princess after all.  She spoke to her mother and father,  Queen Victoriana and King Bobert, and they agreed the adoption should take place during the weeding celebration.

The magnificent Kat just laid in her dish by the fire and smiled.   All was right with the world and everyone lived happily ever after.
