BBQ Diner
(a painting of image 11)

I kept looking at this sad little building
With a coat of paint and a few flowers it could turn into a bit of roadside Americana
Something you might find on the backroads in the South...not fluffy, but a funky country *joint*
I think there would be a river or a lake close by

Started with histogram adjustment to brighten and bring out detail
applied color balance, contrast and saturation auto enhancements & fade correction
cloned, retouched and picked at pieces and parts to remove power lines and trash that was surrounding the building
used jpg artifact removal at high setting to not only get rid of some of the artifacting, but to begin to get a painted effect
clarified which added a bit more painted look
added layers of wildflowers to the field in front and flower beds at the front of the building
cleaned and rearranged the walkway & the building
added the bbq and fish signs
added autos, window treatments and bbq smoke from the pit out back
(autos courtesy of the royalty free photo collection at Moonbow Graphics)
cat wandered in on it's own to get some fish and pig
took to image splitter & saved all as jpg, except the bbq sign which was saved as gif
pulled out the bbq sign and duplicated
used color to target to slightly change the color/shade of red on a second layer
took the two layers to animation shop to make them blink
substituted the animation for the original gif slice
had a blast playing with this, even after one of my classmate/buds sent me back to the drawing board grumbling ;^)
...now let's all head over there for lunch!!! :-)!!!
